Events and Occasions are very special to families. Birthday Events are the major events celebrated in a family next to the wedding events. Usually birthday events are organized for 01st and 03rd birthday of a kid, 25th and 60th birthday of an adult.
When a birthday event is organized in a family, usually the kid’s parents take care of organizing it. All the responsibilities are on their shoulders and this would make them too tensed at the event and they wouldn’t be able to enjoy the event. Advantages of having two event emcees (Male and Female Cohost) in a show
Events and occasions are very special to families and corporate. To make this event go in a smooth flow and make it a great memory and grand success, we need someone to coordinate the event. Event organizers and event managers take care of organizing the event. At the time of the event, the event emcee carries the show in a smooth manner. The event emcee coordinates with the other performers and makes sure that the event goes in a smooth flow from start to the end. An event emcee is otherwise called as Master of Ceremonies, Master of Ceremony, Stage Host, Event MC, Anchor, etc.
An Event Emcee would be of great use in Birthday Parties, Corporate Team Building Activities, Conferences, Out Bound Training, Product Launches, Dealers Meet, Mall Activities, Wedding Receptions . Sangeet, Get together, Cricket Matches and other sports, Quiz Shows, etc.
Usually one event emcee is enough for a show; that can be either a male or a female. Based on his / her experience and expertise the event emcee would be able to handle the show and make it a hit. What is a Sangeet Ceremony (Musical Evening) ?
After I entered into event industry, I have been regularly hosting birthday parties, mall activities and corporate events. But there was one word which I had been hearing occasionally but I never knew what it was. The word was “Sangeet”. I heard that “Sangeet” was also one type of event and I never knew what it was. The moment I realized that I need to know something about Sangeet, came a knocking opportunity for me.
One of my very good friends, Emcee Jayshree Senthil took me to a Sangeet event she hosted. It was there I actually came to know what Sangeet was. Thank you Jayshree for that start. The very same day I decided that I need to host a Sangeet soon and my dream also came true in a couple of months. Eventually I hosted the Sangeet of a Film Fraternity’s family as well. Yes, along with my Co-host Emcee Nandhini I hosted the Sangeet of Divya Priya (Daughter of Mr Ravi Kumar and Grand daughter of Mr Changaiah, Proprietor of Ravi Prasad Units, Studios and Labs). Hosted the Family outing of Lions Club of Chennai Phoenix at Shelter Beach Resort along with Female Event Emcee Nandhini
I’m Thamizharasan Karunakaran, an Event Emcee (Master of Ceremonies / Master of Ceremony / MC ) based at Chennai. I have been hosting events in Bengaluru, Chennai and other parts of Tamilnadu since 2012. I have also planted the seeds to expand across India. I have hosted more than 200 events in these 4 years.
Since I came into event industry I have been hosting varieties of events. I have been hosting family events, corporate events, mall activities, team building activities, school events etc.
When it comes for Family events, its always special to me as it’s little bit of challenging one. Because if it’s a corporate event or team outing, usually they would be of same age group or atleast every one would have common interest. So it’s little easy to make them take part in the games. But when it comes for family event, you would find people of all ages starting from an infant to as old as 80+ years. So my games should be designed in such a way that no one gets bored at any point of time and there should be varieties of games which could involve every age category. An Event Emcee can either present a show, deliver a speech, introduce the speakers and performers, engage with audience, provide information, entertain audience, conduct games and so on. Event Emcees are called with several other names – Stage Emcee, Master of Ceremony, Master of Ceremonies, Mistress of Ceremonies, Live Anchor, Stage Host, Compere, etc.
